Junior church is an alternative for children 4 years old through 4th grade, giving them an opportunity to participate in a lesson designed to match their various levels of understanding. It focuses on Biblical teachings about Jesus and Christ-like character development.  Each lesson includes an application component and a coloring/activity page.

Junior church is scheduled during both Sunday morning services.  Initially, the children have the opportunity to participate in the other aspects of the regular worship service in preparation to receiving God’s word.  After the last song, they head to the junior church area where a competent teacher and willing staff of volunteers greet them and lead them to a deeper understanding of the Bible.

(NEW!!!   We have added a group for our 5th and 6th graders during the 10:15 am worship service!)

At our children’s ministries, our mission is to “To evangelize and disciple young people to a dynamic Christian life by mature leadership through our local church leaders.”  We are here to reach children, whose needs constantly change, with Biblical truth that never changes!

Our new Eagles Nest Clubs meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 – 8:00pm, from September to May.  Our clubs are broken down into three groups:
Itty-Bitties for our toddlers (potty trained) through 4 year olds Hatchlings for our Pre-K and Kindergarten children Eagles for our 1st thru 5th grade children

We work with the kids throughout the year in 2 major areas: Discipleship and Evangelism

Discipleship involves working on Daily Quiet Times, Bible Verse memorization, Weekly Bible Lessons and Christian Service opportunities.

Christian Service is stressed throughout the year also.  We encourage the children to love others as Jesus loved us, through acts of compassion and assistance.  Letters to the Troops, Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes that reach children all over the world, and local food drives to help with needs in our home areas, are examples of projects the children participate in.

A typical night at the Eagles Nest Clubs includes much excitement including Praise Music, Prayer, fun Bible Lessons and Review Games, as well as energetic group Game Time in the mulitpurpose gym area!!

Thankfully, we have the opportunity and privilege throughout the year to explain what salvation through Jesus Christ means to the children.  In turn, we are blessed to see many children receive Jesus as their Savior each year!
